First race of the season, first race of the Swiss championship.

The first training session on Friday was complicated by a severe rib pain from last weekend.

The pain didn't go away all weekend.

But we managed to mitigate it with foam on my rib guard and the bucket seat.

The other Friday sessions went very well, the track was not too hot and the lap times were quite promising.

Saturday's practice went just as well, we tried several chassis settings but we couldn't try enough engines.

Bad luck, the engine we had wasn't working very well and so we lost a lot of time on the straight.

Now we have to move on to the decisive day, Sunday, race day.

I woke up in the morning with a severe stomach ache and headache.

I probably had food poisoning, so the day was going to be complicated. In the morning, during the warm-up session, the track was cold and I had a very good pace.

When we arrived at the qualifying session, there were 22 of us on the track and the session only lasted 6 minutes. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to complete a full lap without being disturbed, which meant we qualified 16th out of 22.

I had a great start in the first heat and after 4 laps I was P6.

I was clearly faster than the rider in front of me, I tried to overtake him several times but he didn't want to work with me to try to catch the riders in front.

We were side by side on the straight and he took me out.

DNF for the first race, the day did not start as we would have liked.

When we got to the second race, we started last.

We climbed back up to 13th place with more difficulty than during the first round and we received a 5-second penalty, which placed us P17.

I started 19th for the final.

At the start, there was a false start, so everyone braked suddenly and I crashed into the rider in front of me, which earned me a 5-second penalty.

After a second formation lap, the race finally got underway.

The track had heated up quite a bit and the chassis reacted poorly to this extra grip, which prevented us from having sufficient speed in the corner.

After 19 laps, I finished P15.

Not the weekend we were hoping for in many ways, but we learned a lot.

Next race at Levier for the Vega, we'll get back up!
