The final round of the Vega Trofeo championship, an important weekend, the one that would decide the final standings.

Before arriving at the track, I knew that second place was going to be close . Everything would come down to these last three races, and I was ready to fight until the end. The weather forecast predicted a perfect weekend: sun, dry track, no surprises.

Friday went very well. The pace was good, and so were the sensations. We found a good balance with the chassis, and I was confident for the future.

Qualifying on Saturday was as close as ever, but I set the 4th fastest time. That put me in a good position for the first round, with just one goal in mind: staying ahead and keeping my chances of winning the championship alive.

Sunday morning, first race. The start went very well, I quickly moved up to 3rd place, then to 2nd. The pace was excellent, I felt strong, in the right frame to aim for a big result.

But after a few laps, everything changed. By pushing a little too hard, I hit my teammate. He was able to continue without any problems, but I spun. I started back well, but I fought until the end to finish the race in 14th place.

At that point, I knew that second place in the championship had slipped away. There were still two rounds to go, but the points gap was going to be difficult to close.

Round 2 arrives, and I start 14th on the grid. The only watchword: move up. The start is clean, I keep overtaking, lap after lap. The pace was there, the kart responded well, and I finally finish 5th after a great comeback.

Finally, the finale. The last race of the season. I wanted to finish strong, cleanly, to turn the page on this year on a good note. I got off to a good start, stayed in the leading group throughout, and finished 4th, a few tenths off the podium.

In the end, I finished 3rd in the championship.

Of course, there's a bit of disappointment, because second place was within reach before this final round. But that's sport: one small mistake can change everything.

Despite everything, it's been a very good season. My first full season in competitive karting, with a lot of learning, progress, and a few bad luck too.

We showed that we have the speed, consistency and ability to play up front. And even if second place eludes me, finishing third for a first season is already a great source of pride.

This year ends with a little frustration, but above all with a lot of motivation. We now know where we belong: ahead.
